Dr. Saurabh Kelkar holds a PhD in Engineering, an MSc in Atmospheric Science, and a BSc in Physics. He is a climate researcher and applied climate science professional with 5+ years of experience in assessing regional and global climate models, climate change impact analysis, and model post-processing.
- Currently working as Research Associate and Thematic Lead on Climate Science at Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR), where he focus on generating climate data analytics–based insights to support climate-resilient agriculture and natural resource management.
- Experienced in translating complex climate science into actionable insights for practitioners, rural communities, and decision-makers. His work includes communicating weather forecasts and climate information, supporting applied research, contributing to interdisciplinary collaborations, and integrating climate science with sectors such as agriculture and water management.
- Skilled in scientific reporting, climate data analysis, and communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with experience working both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
